Help wanted on processing slides

I hope this is the correct place to ask this question. I have found some old family slides (at least 40+ years old). They were processed by a company called P.M. Industries in Sydney. They are 50mm x 50mm and do not fit into the regular slide scanner. Can anyone suggest a reputable company/place to get these developed into photos or scanned onto a CD?

Appreciate any suggestions, thanks, Anne

That sounds like it should "go" Annie. Curious about (inside) frame shape,rectangular?/square?
Pretty much any photo or camera shop outsource to a lab.If you have one close by,might call them.

They're probably 6x6 (60x60mm), either 120 or 620 film.
Any pro lab should be able to handle these.

Was thinking same. Too big to be 127.
Probably be expensive to have all scanned at high resolution.
Could have done at lower resolution, still display nice on a computer.
Will let you review and decide if you might want to have some prints made,
which could then be scanned at higher resolution, depending on print size.
Here, there's a sizeable differential in cost when high/low resolution scans compared.
Quote regarding cost of high res' scan could come as a shock.

Lower cost alternative

Do you know anyone who owns a photo flatbed scanner?
These do a decent job with medium format negatives and slides.

Colour or black and white.

You could also try ScanCafe.

Definitely. 127 slides have the same external dimensions as 35mm, but with a 4x4 cm window.

If you don't mind sending them interstate, I've used this crowd in Adelaide to process some ancient film from a long-dead Kodak 1A someone gave me, that still had the film inside. They did an excellent job:

CLL Negative Develop, Print & Training Pricing - Black & White Photographics. Another option is to get a copy of Photographic Trader from a newsagent and check out some of the camera businesses, clubs etc in your area.
Good luck.

I have an HP Flat Bed Scanner that could probably handle them. Try to find someone with a ScanJet 4890 or similar. You can at least get them digitized for computer viewing that way.
