Era Shantou 100 at Iso 200?

Hello,

I would like to know if any of you has ever processed a roll of Era Shantou b&w film at Iso 200. It is rated at Iso 100. What would be the difference with the processing of the film at Iso100? I have been told that usually you had 10% of time but I don't if for this particular film it works well.
Thanks for your help.

From Massive Dev the following will help since there is little info anywhere on Era Film
QuoteQuote:
PUSH PROCESSING (B/W)

These are general guidelines when no published development times are available. To use this chart multiply the published time at recommended ASA by the factor in parenthesis (ie. If Tri-X rated at 400ASA is normally developed for 6 mins in a standard soup, then when Tri-X is pushed three stops to 3200ASA development would be: 6 x 4.5 = 27 mins). Please use these recommendations as starting points only. In many cases these times will prove excessive, but when all else fails they can be a good guideline. Please note separate data for Tmax films.

Standard Developer
1 stop push = (x1.5)
2 stop push = (x2.25)
3 stop push = (x4.5)
Compensating Developer
1 stop push = (x1.4)
2 stop push = (x1.85)
3 stop push = (x2.5)
TMax Films
1 stop push = no change
2 stop push = (x1.33)
3 stop push = (x1.66)

*Compensating developers include Microphen, TMax, and any other developers which are specifically formulated for push processing

It probably works well at EI200 because most BW film has a lot of latitude. And your agitation profile affects film speed too. 400TMY and 400TX can be shot easily, for example, at EI800 and not need any pushing as noted in their data sheet.

And with wet printing, development times are also a function if your enlarger is a condenser or cold light for some developers. For a cold light enlarger, for example, I would cut development time down by 2 minutes with PMK Pyro.
