8 mm movie film

Does anyone know if there is a place that still processes old 8 mm movie film? Not Super 8, but regular 8 mm movie film?

Actually processed, that is IF I can find the camera, years ago I filmed two friends skateboarding, and one of them asked me today if I ever had that processed, and as far as I know ,the film is still in the camera. IF I can find the camera, I doubt the film is still good, because the filming was back in the late 70s... I believe that was the last time the camera was ever used. But he said if I can find it, he would pay for the processing. I searched on the net today, but came up empty on processing.

Unfortunately, not many places process movie film nowadays. In fact, you might be pretty limited to only the bigger processing/transfer houses in LA, NY, and Seattle. I've used Alpha Cine Alpha Cine Seattle for my 16mm films. They aren't cheap though. If your film is black and white, I'd say it might be worth a shot to develop it yourself and hope there's still an acceptable image from the 70's on there.

Extremely low probability you'd get any kind of image from that...

That's what I was thinking, it has been more than 30 years, so I doubt anything will come out, but, he said he would pay for the processing, but, first, I have to FIND the camera !! :-)

Maybe check with Dwayne's:
