Don't forget Agfa's CT Precisa E-6! Great film!.
I never got great results from Agfa until I lived in Switzerland in the early 90's. There, many of labs ran Agfa chemistry and the results on Agfa films was very different than what I was getting in the US with Kodak and Fujifilm processing. When in Rome.....

I also enjoy Lomography's Lomo 100 film too. It's basically the old Kodak Gold 100 from what many have said.
The current Agfa CT Precisa is repackaged Fujichrome Provia 100.

From my use of Lomo 100, the 35mm stuff is more likely to be Kodak Pro Image 100.

On Oahu, we have one film and LP vinyl record camera store, Treehouse Hawaii. Long live retro!!! The only brick and mortar (with film cameras and film) in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The local university store used to have film for their students, but otherwise I either order online from B&H, Adorama, or Freestylephoto.biz in LA.

B&H usually has the best prices for film.
Sometimes Amazon.

I had a quick look at B&H and see they still sell some of my old favorites.
I attached some examples, in photo order:
Ilford HP5+ 400
Agfa Agfapan APX 100
Fuji Provia 100F (RDPIII)
Fuji Velvia 50
Attached Images

It's worth noting that the current Agfa APX is different film than what was available prior to 2013.

I'm going to buy film today, but can't call the lab, it's late. Quick question, will pro lab develop Adox ISO20 film? I can use that film on Spotmatic, and the result seems outstanding.

Lana,
Note that Adox 20 is a black and white film. Most labs only develop C-41 color negs and/or E-6 color slide films. Typically only custom labs will develop B&W. Also Adox 20 is ideally developed in Adotech II developer. This is not at all common.
I'm sure the film can be developed in other B&W developers, but you'll be compromising the results.

One other pain, if you're shooting Adox 20 35mm film, the cartridges do not have a DX code. Not a problem if you can manually set your ISO. But if you have an FSLR that automatically sets the ISO and you can't do it manually, it will default this film to ISO 100 and effectively under expose the negs by 2 and 1/3 EVs.

I'd hold off buying the film, unless you can find a lab that confirms they have this developer or if you're willing to DIY.

Thanks, Alex, I will skip it for now. Spotmatic SPII has setting for 20 ASA, but you are right, I'm not ready. The lab develops b&w, but it takes longer than color, so I assume they do custom work, but will specify anyway if they do such a slow ISO film.

If I like to shoot with b&w, I can start developing it myself later. I used to do it, but it's such an ancient history (it also was an ideal excuse to be alone with boyfriend in a darkroom )

To start with I ordered Kodak Portra 160 and 400 color, Kodak T-Max 100 b/w, and Kodak Ektar 100 color.
