Is anyone printing B&W with a Beseler 4x5 enlarger?

The title says it all.

Yes. I run a school darkroom with 21 enlargers, 6 of which are Beseler 45MX. Excellent enlarger. I have 35mm, 6x4.5, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9, and 4" x 5" holders with 50mm, 75mm, 80mm, 90mm, 105mm, and 135mm lenses.

I have a Zone VI Compensating Enlarging Timer with photocell and an Aristo cold light head with a Beseler 4x5 adaptor ........
Just sayin.

Very nice. The nicest enlargers I got to work with were additive color enlargers; Philips PCS 2000 with three (RGB) light sources for printing Ciba and eventually Ilfochromes. Great system for chromes, but I really donʻt miss color chems like P-30, let alone working without safelights before getting the paper into the drums.

My family had two Philips additive enlargers in our darkroom, they were great to work with when I was doing dye transfer prints. When I read that name I couldn't help but wince internally - my family sold off nearly all of that equipment when we closed the darkroom in 2004

I use a Chromega 4x5... so nice to just dial in the equivalent settings for contrast filters.

Yeah, I hear that. I also have a 67S color Beseler which is easy to dial in filters. But on my 4x5 I did a lot of fixed-grade papers so it wasn't bad. In fact, if my negatives printed well on a grade 2 paper I could infer my development time was about right for my setup.

About ten years ago I got a MX45 and set it up next to my Omega B22XL which looked so tiny in comparison. Last fall I gave away the B22XL and set up an Elwood 5X7 which makes the MX45 now look tiny.
