Do not use Cave Tools brand salad spinner for film drying.

The Cave Tools salad spinner cost me $20.
Whenever I spin it tiny flecks of white plastic are produced and end up in my colander and therefore on/in my salad/film.
Just a friendly warning.

Salad spinning film? I totally don't get it, but that is OK. There are lots of things I don't get.

The original "cave tools" were pretty primitive

The Leica branded version costs $300 and comes in an assortment of colours, most importantly red.

I saw something on PetaPixel a week or two ago regarding the Alpa version. It is fully modular and strictly minimalist and requires proprietary reels. Construction is titanium and carbon fiber with teak accents. All components are laser-aligned. Price for the basic frame and crank will be about $25K USD through Alpa.

I cannot stress strong enough the importance of removing the vegetables from the spinner before inserting the film.

The Pentax version was a one-off. Expected system accessories never materialized.
It was initially quite overpriced. Then when it failed to sell it was discontinued and
closed out at giveaway prices. OTOH it was styled by a famous industrial designer.

For stand development, only spin it once at the beginning and once again at 30 minutes.

You mean stand "drying" right?
