Pentax Lighting Table Model 65108

I saw a "Pentax Lighting Table Model 65108" for sale on ebay from KEH and it's piqued my interest. It looks like a device used to backlight slides for scanning or viewing or something. Anyone have more information on it?

Here's the link to the listing:
Lot of Pentax Lighting Table Model 65108 with Accessories & Power Pack M - EX | eBay

BTW I picked the Processing/scanning/darkroom section of the forum based on what I thought it did, so apologies if this isn't the right place to ask!

No clue. I would bid on it myself but you found it. Good luck!

My wild guess it is something from the medical/dental division - maybe used for duplicating X-rays. Although the blue bulb would suggest it is used with color film.

And who knows if all the pieces actually go together. They might be unrelated parts.

It is used with the macro stage for backlighting subjects, it could also be used for slides. The power pack M can be used to power motor drives from the film era as well as provide remote triggering and interval shots. I wish they would ship to my country, USA only, good luck

There we 38 bids, most from one low feedback buyer. I was surprised to see this level of shill bidding on an auction from keh !

I see. Thanks for the knowledge transfer! Bidding exceeded my budget for "don't know it, don't need it, buying for fun".
