Spotmatic & Praktica L Series Rewind Knobs are Interchangeable

Earlier today, while playing with my cameras, I accidentally discovered that the rewind knobs of the Spotmatics & Praktica L Series are interchangeable. I thought it was a piece of information worth sharing, it might be helpful to someone who lost his knob. It's a perfect fit, a wee bit less low profile but that's better than nothing.

Isn't the M42 screw mount also known as the Praktica thread mount?

That is correct, introduced in 1949 with the KW Praktica.

Interesting! I have them both, but I never looked into it.
(However, the photos and text doesn't quite follow. SP II shows twice.)

Well, It's the same rewind knob for the whole Spotmatic series. Below is the same L knob mounted on my Honeywell SP.

I've just received feedback from a chap on Reddit who followed my tip and successfully replaced the missing knob of his SP with the knob of a cheap Praktica TL2 that he found in his area.
