I've used Fromex down in the Los Angeles, CA area (well its *technically* in Signal Hill, but LA is like 12 cities all under a trenchcoat lol).
Their prices for slide film is a bit on the bigh side. They do a pretty quick turnaround, the last batch of slide film I sent them they shipped em back to me in like two days.

Here's their site: https://fromex.com/
And their address: 2699 E. 28th Street, Unit 405, Signal Hill, CA 90755

I've also sent film to Darkslide Film Lab down in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

If you want to lab process b&w positive film (Fomapan R100/Scala) or to cross-process some b&w negative film as a slide, this is your only option in North America:

dr5 B&W slide . The finest in B&W - Home

dr5FILM
111 NW 2ND ST.
STUART, IOWA 50250
PHONE: 515.300.8491
EMAIL: dr5us@dr5.us

I've used them for years, mostly with Fomapan R100 and love the results of having a b&w slide. Cross-processed Adox Silvermax produces very good results as well.

I've been getting excellent results from The Darkroom. Color and black & white negative 35mm film. I usually just go for the standard scanning resolution. Mailing in film is easy, as they provide prepaid mailers or a prepaid mail label that you can print, cut out and tape onto your envelope when sending in film. Price includes mailing back your negatives and, if selected, your prints.

I don't think anyone ever posted the link as requested, so here it is: LINK to The Darkroom

I just used The Darkroom for 2 rolls of slide film to get developed, since they're close to me (they're ~1 hour drive away from me). I sent them out Tuesday (May 3rd), they got it on Thursday (the 5th) & mailed it out the same day, and I got them back today (the 7th).

just an update as I've used more of Pro Photo Connection's services: their C-printing is excellent, as good as you'll get anywhere (at least barring an optical print?), and their 4x5 C41 development is done in-house in a dip-and-dunk and spot on.

Looks like they might be closing up shop.

Yeah I saw that, it's too bad. They were the only place in North America that would do b&w slide processing.

The announcement from dr5 Labs is on their home page:

https://dr5.us/index.html

Perhaps with support from film photographers this unique service can be saved.
Now is the time to send dr5 Labs some BW negative film for reversal processing.

Chris
