Manfrotto Tripod Leg Spreader Locks Loose

I have an inexpensive, light-weight Manfrotto tripod (7302YB) that I bought a couple of years ago. It hasn't gotten a tremendous amount of use, though my 10 yr old boy has enjoyed making tents with it... The legs have two "spread" positions that are selected by a rotating lock at the top of each leg. A couple of these things recently became very loose and I couldn't adjust the legs properly. I eventually figured out that there is a plastic cap that can be removed to expose an allen-head screw that tightened things up nicely. Here are some photos in case anyone has the same tripod / issue...
