Official Pentax K-5 bashing thread.

Alright,

I`m gonna pick up the opposition flag here, and make a thread where we ( those that did not get what we wanted ) can bash this latest "flagship" from Pentax.

So whats your problem with K-5?

My first problem with K-5 is that it doesnt use FF sensor.

But even then, this camera doesnt offer anything special among the competition!

51000 ISO, well. I guess we`ll see more of mid-range camera having extremely pumped HI ISO numbers along with smearing NR in RAW.

7 FPS? Yeh, OK, good. But will it have tracking AF to match this? So far tracking AF has been a problem for Pentax, my best results are 50% in-focus shots using tracking AF.

1080p Video? Well, OK nice to have but while nice its more of a prosumer feature. The main advantage of having video in DSLR is ability to use some cool glass, and wether it is 720p or 1080p is no big deal really.

Extra ISO with in-body software is useless.
The AF will be my major concern.

what could you do with that super hi ISO if you CAN NOT FOCUS.

Do any of the members that are complaining about AF actually have used the new Safox IX + system ? Cause I see a lot of people talking trash about the new autofocus system and I'm confused.
No point in saying "IF it can't focus it's not gonna be any good" I think we all know that.

EDIT: I haven't use it myself and for all I know, it could be crap, but hey, keep faith, it could also be a major breakthrough for Pentax!

Pentax has had a slow AF system, especially in low-light, for so long, even if they managed a major leap in performance, there would be a lot of suspicion and low expectations.

How come noone complained on x-sync yet? I'm still forced to use the ancient EOS 1D with 4Mpix to have 1/500 sync speed. I want that from Pentax!
