I feel like I'm actually drowning when looking at the shots, nice work!

I use the DA*300mm and Sigma 70-200mm lenses. My main settings are f4 and 1/800th in TAv. With this game the light was still very good with iso 1600. But some off the light are going broken at the time. So we have to see and wait how much light is there to use in the coming days. Yesterday 4 of the 54 bulbs where out of the eventlight that is there for this event.

I do change a little to 1/640 or for sidethings of the group to 1/320th. Also some change to f3.5/f3.2 with the sigma sometimes.

Looking very good considering how much of a challenge is shooting them in low light, getting them on the air is quite a challenge too!!

Good Job!!

Ron, I see you have managed to capture the 'gentler' side of water polo! Once again some quality shots.

Shot some more junior hockey today. Nope, I still didn't get it right. The lighting was downright awful and I had to shoot through the glass again, which sucks half what's available of the light and adds to the green hue the light already has to begin with. I thought I had the WB and exposure right, but after importing the pictures to Lightroom, boy was I disappointed.
Some examples:

It's a challenge, but I'll have to try more. Tomorrow it's football again. Back to the comfort zone.

My first extended outing with the K5 was a complete success. I spent the past couple of days watching my daughter compete in the Womens Superpipe at the Dew Tour in Killington, VT. Bitter cold, blowing snow and several hours outside with no issues.
My daughter, Charity Mersereau in the first shot and some of the other competitors following.

Shot with a Sigma 70-300 which performed well on the K5. I was worried about it since it took a fall out of my backpack a year ago and the zoom hasn't worked right but the AF seemed right on. A couple of these are 50% or more cropped.

Good stuff.

A couple of guys were getting some serious air, 20 feet off of the top of the pipe.

Richard, some very nice frozen action shots there (yes I know, but the pun was intended).

JP, you are getting there. I think those shots are not to bad at all considering all the elements you have to battle just to get an image.
