Have a look here:

?????????? : K-5 ????????????

There are two versions for each exposure time. Google translate isn't being very helpful in telling me what the difference is.
In the top picture he lists (縮小) and in the bottom he lists (当倍). "縮小" means "reduction," but I have no idea what "当倍" means though I think he wrote the wrong kanji? "等倍" means "magnification," plus "当" and "等" have the same Chinese (Japanese on) reading.

So if I had to guess the top is a resize and the bottom is a 100% crop. My Japanese is limited to very basic conversational stuff and google so maybe someone who can actually speak the language will chime in.

Maybe its something about being able to afford the camera. I just got a call from the auto shop. Had to evict a family of pack rats from my truck's air cleaner. They set up household in the engine compartment, and chewed through the distributor wiring, coil and started on the fuel injector lines. $1,700 - so there goes my K5......

That's life for living out in Tumbleweed country - the great Sonoran desert.

Doesn't that just suck, that kind of sh*t happens to me also something will always break down when I am ready to buy a new lens or so.

The camera had only been out a few hours and everybody was eager to be the first to post photos of high ISO performance. A human failing which apparently never manifests itself among Lithuanians, else you'd not need it explained to you.

Check out this shot at ISO1600, 600 second exposure, in camera NR off:

K-5 ??????????????? - ???????:photohito

The poster mentions that he isn't sure if there is a demand, but hopes that the test will be useful to someone. All I can say is very yes; that dark noise is pretty impressive!

I'm hoping the current MSRP is in place to help curtail demand/fight backorders while they get their distribution channels spun up. But, if not, I'll just have to patiently save up..
Check out this 30 second shot at 3200 (Click on the photo to enlarge it).
