K-5 release

I've been checking at amazon and it keeps saying the K-5 has not been released yet. Is this not true? Has it been released?

Amazon had a small batch that sold out, so now they're showing the pre-release page again until they get more.

When do they begin to show it as out of stock rather than not yet released? After the second shipment? The fifth shipment?

Sounds like simple carelessness. I hope they get that figured out as it can confuse buyers.

I'm certain it's just an accident that the effect may be to keep prospective buyers from seeking other sources, as the buyers believe that it's not available anywhere because it's not released.
