K-5, ISO51200 Ownage!

For the tutorial on the high iso work, for pp do you use ACR or LR3? On average, would just one have as good a results?

I notice that in LR, you set saturation level at -25. What is the purpose of that? Does it make the NR process easier?

Damn nice showing by Pentax with this camera. I am very impressed with the picture quality, DR/ISO is superb. K7 replacement in the future.

This is how far I got, your image has a balance to it that is perfect. I don't know what you used to get it to have a beautiful skin tone like that, how did you resaturate the file?

Hi, I can't see the image.
However, all I did to adjust saturation afterward was an adjustment layer in Photoshop(specifically red channel also).

Okay, I can see the image now,
All I can see missing here would be a slight red channel adjustment(or maybe a warm filter).
And then you can finish it off with some sharpening or microcontrast adjuster.

The K-5 (coupled w/the Sigma 70-200 HSM II) has completely renewed my joy in taking photographs. (approximating here) I took something like 15,000 photos my first year of ownership, and about 5000 the next two. ...but now, I'm back!

Here is what i got. LR 3.2 No edit direct export to Jpeg then Noiseware Community Free Edition.
Custom Settings:
Noise Suppresion : (Luminance & Color) 90%; +1 Sharpening
K-5 Really have a lot of detail you can exploit at higher ISO.

hmm, well for one, most other cameras won't even go up to ISO 51,200
