My experience with Buy

I just ordered the K5 from Buy on Tuesday afternoon and received it today (Wed.) with the 2 day shipping option. My total was like $1507. I used fatwallet but I have not seen the 4% back yet. As for Buy, that was lightning shipping. Great to deal with....

Just to update the thread, I received my K-5 yesterday. $1,466. As far as I know, that's the best price anyone's gotten it for yet except for the few who got it from NewEgg with the $150 off... and those getting FatWallet cashback from buy.com will pay less, but they won't get their money for a while. All in all, I'm content with the deal and the camera is pretty awesome.

That photo has jacked up my anticipation.

But it looks a bit soft ....

Should we start a thread about that?

Abes of Maine

Abe's of Maine (which used to be in Brooklyn but is now in NJ) is now selling the K-5 for $1550. Not a huge price reduction, but at least no NYS sales tax.

Yeah, it's not the sharpest shot ever, just a quickie taken in a fairly dark room with my K-7. Here's a K-5 shot at 51,200 to get you excited.

I'm still amazed. Who would have thought that we'd get usable 51,200 out of an APS sensor camera, even a year ago? Obviously I wouldn't want to go that high all the time, but it's really quite astounding to have the option to, IMHO.
