Shopped D7000, 60D bought K-5

My wife wanted a new camera. She cut her teeth on a K1000 and has always had an affinity for Pentax. However, she agreed we should look at all our options before purchasing.

After carefully comparing the 60D, the D7000 and the K-5, she chose the K-5. She preferred the feel of the camera and how easy it was to use.

We absolutely LOVE this camera. I did check to see if it had a stain after reading this forum and I can't find anything.

The picture quality is superb and the ease of use is wonderful!

Congratulations! You're lucky you are somewhere that you can hold Pentax cameras.

Congrats.

Got mine a few weeks ago. Low light shooting and AF is really nice on this camera compared to my old pentax k2000. Though I must admit I know nothing about the ca-nikon alternatives.

Nice, I did a shoot for work with my K20D at a seniors home and all I could think was how bloody loud the shutter was in comparison to what the K-5 sounded like in store!

Can't wait for that price drop to happen!
