K-5 and LR3

Oh my - what's the difference between a PEF in the K-5 and in the 20D and other Pentax RAW files? I got my K-5 yesterday. I am trying to load my K-5 images into LR and it says the preview is not available. It's "copying and importing", but the folder is empty! Both in LR and on the computer. Is LR3 K-5 compatible? I've always loaded PEF files from K20D, K100D, K2000D, & *ist-D with no problems.

Yes 3.3 is supposed to work with K-5 PEF.

... a few million extra pixels each with a few extra bit-depths of detail!

I sure hope so. I had 3.2. I have 3.3 installing while we speak. I sure hope it is compatible! I have homework due tonight. I've already filled a 4GB card with K-5 raw files - just today!
I got them copied to my computer via Bridge, but the homework requires me to use Lightroom's Print module to create contact sheet pdfs. I suppose I could create contact sheets in CS5 and print as pdf. Gonna be a long night...

... it is; you really need not worry. You'd be the only one it doesn't work for for some reason if not.

Much to my chagrin, I discovered the larger lens selection is only the case if you're processing RAW ... which is what I do 99% of the time anyway ... until I decided to use K-5's in-camera HDR. I was surprised to find a different list of Sigma lenses displayed whether I was handling a JPG file vs. a RAW file.
