Charged the battery attached the DA* 50-135. Checked the sensor. And now in a few minutes off to become acquainted with my new friend. With 5-6 shots it seems much faster than k-20 and shutter is so nice and quiet...even more so than the D7K I held briefly at a store yesterday. In 2004 I entered my DSLR era by choosing the istDS because it felt better than Nikon or Canon models I was shopping. This K5 likewise feels so much better in the hand than the D7K, 60D, or 7D models I have held the past few weeks... off to shoot.

Glad you like it! The K-5 is such a capable camera...

I likewise like the feel of Pentax (K-7 and K-5) far above the CaNikon rivals...

..a few from a quick walk using the DA* 50-135. This is a special camera the af much surer and quicker than my K20D. The size is very comfortable. This is going to be fun.
