Someone saying D7000 better than Pentax K-5

this dumb*** is saying Nikon D7000 is better than Pentax K-5 even when every review out there says otherwise.

The thing is, the prattling of this nincompoop aside, the D7000 is probably a very fine camera, and better than the K-5 if you have a good collection of Nikon glass or need the redundancy to dual SD slots or some of the other features that the K-5 lacks.

It's sixes.

Lets drop all this chit about comparing the 2 cameras, we know the K-5 is better and they think the D7000 is better. End of story.

Not in a single serious review so far (except for the Troll).

Well, I really like the full magnesium alloy body and SR in body that K-5 has and the D7000 doesn't! What the D7000 has to offer over the K-5? 39! AF points? Dual card slots... What?

This. D7000 can't mount pentax glass. That's all that is important.

Gahahaha. Zing!

But the K-5 can't mount Chase Jarvis. So Nikon wins this round...

The other thread on this biased 'review' is choc-a-block full of discussion on the two cameras - best to continue it there.

Call for this one to close...

Instead of worrying about whether a K-5 is a better camera technically or not, you should be worrying about whether a person with a D7000 can take a better, more interesting picture.

d7000, k-5, sony alpha-55 got the same sensors. sony's body uses only 75% of light for it's locked up mirror. for that reason in this body the sensor performs worse, but d7000 and k-5 are very simmilar. due to dxo tests k-5 sensor performs better than d7000. here's the link to sensor ranking, where k-5 is 5th and d7000 is 10th DxOMark - Sensor rankings

And who is this guy? He completely dogged the K5; made it to be a non-professional camera, with no good sensor with worse high ISO quality than the D7000. Wow! I wonder how much Nikon paid this dude.
