Replacement K-5 arrives from B&H Photo

I sent mine in last Wed. the 15th and my Brand New replacement arrived today, I ran a test for spots and none appeared.
It has the latest firmware installed and the shutter count was 0.
All I can say is B&H is the best store to work with (in IMHO) and I think everyone should purchase from them at one point or another.
I'm also very happy with Pentax for giving permission to stores to replace the defective camera's and pay for return shipping.
I don't think this spot issue should sway anyone from purchasing a new K-5. This is the best DSLR that Pentax has made, and you won't regret buying one.

I see no problems with the level, but maybe I don't understand your question.

Since the shutter count was zero, that means neither Pentax nor B&H had checked for stains, right? Interesting...

Or is there some decent way to check for stains without taking a picture??

And, is there any way to look at the shutter count on the camera (without taking a picture, copying it to a computer, and inspecting the EXIF)?

I think these are new cameras that were shipped after the problem was addressed.

And the other problems off the all too well-known list - AF, p-TTL inferior to K-m or K-x, etc. addressed as well? Or have they left these for us to be able to send our cameras back to them again when we need to?
