Beware... not because of their service though. I bought 100mm WR from them, and my credit card company (citi) charge me 'international transaction fee' which offset the 'deal' to buy from them (even the item is listed in ebay US). If your CC does not do that, I think is fine. I got my with the Mark 8 yrs warranty.

I've purchased two lenses from them, used PayPal both times, and both lenses arrived within a week without any international transaction fees.

I've just come accross this thread when researching PRODEGITAL2000 and would like to know if anyone can answer the following.

I have a K20D that I purchased back in may of 2009 from Beach Camera. The 3 year warranty will run out in a few months. Luckilly no problems yet. I've been researching new cameras for a while now and would like to go the K-5 route but it has been beyond my budget. Today I saw that Buy.Com has it for $999 which is almost in my budget. In a separate daily email that I receive from Buy.Com, there is a link for 10%cashback on any Buy.Com purchase 'today only' - 10/11/2012. This is really, really tempting but I would like the 3 year warranty that can be purchased within 30 days.

1. As PRODIGITAL is in Canada, does it qualify for the extended warranty that can be purchased elsewhere for $19.99?
2. What are people's current experiences with PRODIGITAL2000?
3. Does anyone think a US retailer would match this offer ($999 - 10% with free shipping and no sales tax. The 10% cashback is actually 10% off another purchase and must be used within 20 days.

I need to know within the next few hours to be able to get this today, or not.

Thanks,

Howzat

Prodigital is legit

Can only answer #2: I have had a few excellent Pentax transactions with them and would not hesitate to buy again.

Buy all my photographic equipment from them. I have purchased a K10, K5, battery grips for both cameras, flashes, five Pentax lenses, two Tamron lenses etc. I live in Canada so it is free shipping and no duty charges. Always bought for the best price anywhere including overseas and always use Paypal. Never any additional charges. Charged exactly the price posted in their store. All goods received in perfect condition. Well packed and delivered in a timely manner. 100% satisfaction. For me, I would not buy anywhere else.

Prodigital (and 123 Easy Ship) is actually an ebay storefront for Carmen's Fotosource - an actual store chain in Canada. I've bought a K-r and a DA 55-300. No troubles with the order and very prompt shipping. I sent my K-r to Pentax Canada for service. When I phoned Pentax Canada they initially said Prodigital was not an authorized seller, but after a few phone calls with Prodigital....the issue was resolved and Pentax Canada accepted the camera for repair (E Dial and Focus Calibration).

Their customer service people are amount the best I've dealt with. Very friendly and helpful.

I would not hesitate to buy from them again.

Thanks to those who responded to this thread. I needed to make a decision before 11:59 Pacific to get the deal. Waited as long as I could and debated going for it or wait for further price drops. Finally pulled the trigger and ordered for $999.00. When the 10% back is activated, I plan to use this towards a new lense or 2. Have been eyeing the 18-135 WR. The least expensive I've seen is 429.95 but Buy.Com/Prodigital have it for 435.95 so I'll likely go with that.

Now the wait begins!

I've bought several things from Prodigital, including my k5. Had a problem with my 50-135 where the lens hood would not thread on as it was cross threaded at the factory - did a return and reship - it was handled great by prodigital. I think so far, I've bought a handful of items from them so I'd have no prob buying more.
