Thoughts on if/when the K5 price may drop?...

I thought the K-7's price would drop like a rock after the K-5 was released, but that wasn't the case at all. I purchased mine (with 18-55WR) for $999 a year ago and today, it sell for about $950 for the same kit. Well, at least from Amazon, B&H, and Adorama. A year's worth of shooting mitigates the $50 difference for me

Eh, the K-7 goes for like $650 used sometimes...so it has dropped quite a bit. I even saw a $550 on Craigslist.

But anyway, this is sooooooooooooo tempting. I think with Ebates, Ebay Bucks and credit card cash back and all that, it's like $1225 shipped.

Used yes, but if you look at all the normal online outlets that i mentioned for a NEW K-7, it's still at $950 give or take. And I think most people are hoping/speculating for a drop in pricing on new K-5's, not used copies.

Yeah, I'm really surprised the K-7 hasn't dropped either. I bought mine in January 2010 for $1099, but that included an extra genuine battery (not to mention I had another $100 off for buying a 10-17mm lens at the same time).
