How many shutter actions?

How do you find out how many shutter actions a k5 has done?
Just curious

Shutter count is stored in EXIF data. Just open the last picture taken with a program that can read EXIF data. If you use Window$ use PhotoMe. If you use a Mac use ExifTool or GraphicConverter (has ExifTool built in).

Use an exif editor program (most of us use PhotoME PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor), and look at the last RAW (DNG or PEF) photo taken with your camera.

There are going to dozens of fields and one of them in the "Manufacturer notes" section is your "shutter count"

There are a couple of methods.

Web based: Check shutter count online - My Shutter Count.com

Free Download: PhotoME - Exif, IPTC & ICC Metadata Editor

If you shoot in raw, you may need to use the raw image instead the jpeg converted from raw, as some software removes the information.
