Where do I find the build-date?

Am I missing something obvious? I don't see it on the box or the camera itself. Is this something I can look up with the serial #?

Take a picture and open it in PhotoMe (or similar).
The build date is in the EXIF data (Camera Data).

I just did open the EXIF with Photome, but could not find the manufacturer date. Could you elaborate in which section I would find it? I found many useful data but no manufacturing date.
Thank you in advance.

Hit control F (or the Mac key + F I think if you use a Mac), and search Manufacture date. Actually Date will do but I think the file has to be unmodified.
