when it comes to set AF fine adjustment there are two values. what is realy going on when I decide to use both?

for example when i set the values:
apply all = -8
apply one = 5

what is the resultant value

is it -3? - this would be the most logical answer..

or is it -8

or maybe

5 ???

I've read manual several times and I could'nt find the answer.

apply all will effect all lenses mounted..

apply one will only effect the lens you mounted at that time and remember the setting for that lens..

apply all if the problem cause by the body..and apply one if the problem cause by the lens..

I have also had this question a few month ago; for me the answer is 5; the "apply to one" supersedes the apply to all

It's clear in the manual: if you press OK button on Apply All then that will be effective (and Apply One will be disregarded), if you press OK on Apply One then that will be effective for that lens (and Apply All will be disregarded).

The values are not cumulative. Only one AF adjustment is applied.
In this case the answer is 5.

The effect is NOT cumulative using the normal in-camera software.

If you want a cumulative result, ie one or more lenses are outside the +/- 10 range, you'll have to load the appropriate 'hack' software, details of which are in this and other Pentax fora, as well as on-line. Search for 'Pentax hack'.

Probably correct. When I worked through this on my K20D... with rigorous testing using LensAlign system... the answer was "5." They are not cumulative.

if you mount lens that have set "apply one" before..then the "apply all" value will be discard..

so it will be 5..
