Pentax K-5 body for $600.

Amazon is selling the K-5 for $600. It's OOS but you can still backorder it. This camera just came out at the end of last year. It's $1400 everywhere else.

Amazon.com: Pentax K-5 16.3 MP Digital SLR with 3-Inch LCD (Black Body Only): Camera & Photo

Typo now fixed

They probably mixed it up with another camera - now correctly showing current price of $1,399.

At $600 I would instantly purchase it - and I tried - but, alas the price in the shopping cart was $1399. At that price - I'll just have to wait a bit longer (or a lot longer).....

You'd be one lucky SOB if so!

Technically they should, if they post the price they have to honor it I believe

Amazon will not honor the deal. But sometimes they will give you a $15 coupon. I had several price-mistake-deals like this before. Amazon is definitely one of the best resellers.

Might depend on the country but if it's obvious that the price is wrong, they don't have to honour it.

We've been through this multiple times on this forum.

They can and will cancel any orders that are taken on prices that are posted by mistake.

Ah...I'm always missing out on these deals There's talk on slickdeals of people who bought up to 8 of them and planning to resell on eBay. Bastards!

No, it's different from country to country. In Canada only Quebec has a law that favors the costumer in terms of online price errors. Too bad it's .com and not .ca though... someone could've jumped on the deal

The actual camera refered to in the original post is being sold by J&R Music & Computer World via Amazon, and is used. And now it's almost £1,400.

That's now. Amazon was selling it for $600 directly. Now they are OOS so the link is listing the Marketplace vendors.
