This shouldn't be possible, since the K-5 silver came out 4 months after the issue was addressed.

Forget the stain issue. It's not going to show up in the Silvers...

If that concern is keeping you from buying a K-5, well let me just tell you--don't worry about it. Buy it and you'll never look back. In fact, you'd never want to go back once you've tasted the goodness of the K-5.

I believe he has ordered one and is waiting for it to arrive. I would presume he is simply looking for some reassurance after reading all of the negativity posted on this site recently.

I don't think anything's settled at this point, as to what's possible or not.

edit: though I do think it's probably likely the issue is resolved.

Haven't heard about stain problem on the silver K-5, but a Japanese user found a problem with dusty LCD display (from what I can comprehend after Google translation). Sounds like he exchanged it for another one, which leads me to believe that the dust was below the screen and could not be wiped away.

The spring pictures he took with his first silver K-5 were stellar by the way...

Thank you smc, for setting the record straight. You are exactly right. I wasn't quite sure about how one is expected to respond to a remark like the one you quoted.

Thanks again.

There's always one way to find stains - to look for them!

I wonder if I am going to end up like Scrooge. I might begin to have a series of K-5 ghost dreams and stuff.
