What lcd screen protector do you use?

And how do you like it? Considering buying the acmaxx, but I always like to do a bit of research first. And of course there is the cheap deal extreme models, but I don't really want to trust my expensive body's protection to something that's $0.96 and free shipping...

Whatever I end up ordering, what sizes do I need? 3" for the back, but what is the top?

I for one, don't use one. Never had a problem with scratches.

My nose is always oily, and smears all over the back lcd. When I'm cleaning it, I may use a rough paper towel, cloth with dirt in it etc. Prefer to scratch up a $10 screen guard than my lcd...

Do a search, this has been discussed earlier on PF. Many where I am use a brand called GSS. Made of glass, it is a lot better than those thin film ones.

I use the GGS screen protectors; they are for the K-7, but since the K-7 and K-5 have the same sized LCD, the fit's the same.

I did try a search, but my search-fu may be weak. How do ggs compare to acmaxx?

I don't see the point. Neither my K10, K20 developed scratches, so why should my K5. I'm careful what i set it on and how i store it. The thin film i tried, was never as good as the bare screen.

+1 for acmaxx.. had it for my k200d, my k-x.. and now my k-5.... always ships quickly, easy installation, like the protection.... and they do work very well with no negative effect to viewing the rear lcd or top display.... had a friend whose k-7 display was scratched by rubbing against the zipper on his coat.... he was NOT happy.....

I had the ACMAXX covers at my house before my camera. I had them on my D40 before the K-5 and it worked great. Same results on the K-5 so far.

Avery 03276. They fit everything, they're cheap, and they're very tough.

I'm debating between this the GGS K-7 model, and trying to use an acmaxx designed for a different camera body. Also, I find it amusing that the generic 3" ggs screen cover is sold for <$4, while the exact same thing branded for the K-5 is $20.
