I pulled the trigger on a silver K-5 today...
However, it's through Ace Photo through Amazon.com ... at first I thought it would be okay since it was through Amazon, but resellerratings.com gives Ace REALLY low marks. On Amazon, the reviews for Ace Photo all seem positive.

Anyone else order from Ace and have an okay experience? Supposedly I'll get the camera by the 26th...

Amazon is buyer-oriented. Even if something goes wrong, Amazon will handle that. Don't worry.

Actually... I just realized that there are two Ace Photos... one is called "Ace Photo" and has no ratings yet on ResellerRatings (and only 1 negative feedback in the last year)... the other is called "Ace Photo Digital" which is the one that gets very bad marks through RR and 3% negative in the last 30 days on Amazon. I purchased from the former.... so hopefully it's all okay!

I was afraid that by the time my tax money got here all the silver ones would be gone... but my mom was nice enough to let me borrow her credit card to order now (I feel like I'm 15 - LOL). Plus I got a freelance job that I should be getting paid for soon that will help

Only one silver lens... if I can find one it'll be the FA 31mm. Gotta wait a month or so for that though. I've already got the 40 and 70 limiteds in black.

Can't wait!

Okay, so I ordered around 2:30pm... Now at 5:08pm I just got a shipping notice and tracking number that it's on it's way by UPS. That's promising, and fast

Update: UPS Tracking info shows that it's on it way, set to arrive Friday!

Assuming it all goes well, and it looks like its going to, anyone interested in a silver K5, Ace Photo has 13 left in stock... $10 shipping and I didn't get charged any sales tax!

It came! It came! Charging battery now.
And thanks to a wonderful member here who made a great trade with me, I got a silver FA 43mm f/1.9 too

I will be leaving Ace Photo on Amazon.com a nice review! Ordered it Wednesday and it got here in 2-days flat!

Can't wait to get this bad-boy out tomorrow for a real test-run! (the camera, not the cat - LOL)

ps... can I say how blown away I was at the quality of the files at ISO 1600 and 3200?
And can I say I'm really impressed with the FA43mm too?

Me and this kit are going to be fast friends
