Ha, ha, didn't you see one up close two days ago?
Hope you're not too busy at work... I'm juggling too much already.
For me the bigger and squarer grip don't seem to work well with my small hands...

Okay I maybe off topic but since the silver is nowhere to be found, why not promote the regular K-5 with DA15/21/40/70 as a package with deep discount? Am I insane? Not that I am going to buy one (just can't afford anything right now).

There's one silver left at Ace Photo on Amazon -- that's where I bought mine... but they raised the price by $100 recently.

Indeed I did. And it was a fine looking kit. Work's alright, you just take care and try not to work yourself to the bone Denis.

I felt the extra beef to the grip near the bottom was a little more than necessary for my hands, and my little finger still needed a place to rest, so I'm looking forward to a grip coming home soon.

I'm happy to report that I'm immune to the lure of silver editions of lenses and bodies.

I'm surprised there were only 100 units for the U.S. I was under the impression it wasn't quite that limited! I wonder how many in total were produced?

I wouldn't say that unless you've handled a silver K-5 + silver DA/FA ltd lens in your hands, and then shot with it.

I must admit, the temptation was stirred up vigorously in me when I promised it wouldn't. But I'm still OK with black editions of those that I have...

I hear you on the little finger, but this silver grip fits my hand better than I've ever known. Looking back, the K200D grip was a tad too small and I didn't want the added weight/bulk of a battery grip especially when the DA*50-135 was on board. Granted, it's not that heavy, but I've been spoilt with relatively compact Primes now. I do hear that a battery grip can add balance to certain combinations too, so never say never I suppose
