Flash for K5

Hi all,
Just joined the forum and sold Canon to go back to Pentax K5
I have Canon Sppedlite 430EX2 can this be sucessfully with my new K5

Has it got a manual mode?
If it has you can use it..and it'll stimulate you to get it off camera for some fine lighting.

Like Coeurdechene said, you'll need to use manual mode on your flash;

Also, it means using manual exposure as well on your k-5, since it won't communicate anything with the camera but the trigger of the flash.
I used to do this with a canon camera and an old pentax flash, and after one or two try to get the right exposure it worked very well

I shoot all of my modeling shots in Manual mode....wouldn't really think of using anything else. After a little practice, you will do just fine, probably better than me!
