If they had put the $150 IR on the $1450 making it $1300 total, or even better, on the $1328 it has been for the last month, making it $1180 , it would be a good deal.

As it stands now, they are just preying on consumer stupidity
I got mine through a vendor on Amazon where Amazon fulfills the order and takes care of the returns if needed for 1298.xx and free shipping. I'm very happy with it!

It is exactly the same price - I have been tracking the price for a while now. I am hoping to pull the trigger soon on the K-5. What they are doing here just smells bad IMO.
I agree, this certainly seems like a bad deal from a reputed dealer.

I think it is actually the same (or roughly the same) price as it was before. The regular price shot up for the rebate!
Yeah, I noticed that as well.

It stills comes up as $1327.51 if you add it to the cart though.

They fixed it then because yesterday when I got the email, I put it in the cart and it came up to over $1400. You have to put pentax gear in the cart most of the time to reveal price so that wasn't the issue.

The problem is, that includes the rebate and that is the price it was last week before they went on holiday and came back. So, they are playing a game with the price.

Yeah, and you can still get it at Amazon for $1298.39 or buydig.com for $1279.00 at this time without any mention of a rebate.

Oh definitely I agree, I'm not questioning that, I was just pointing out even more weirdness (higher price shown, then a "rebate" and then in cart same old price), hopefully is just a mistake...

I went there when I was shopping for my K-7, I was so disgusted by the attitude I got from the sales guy I bought it elsewhere even though I had to wait for it to be shipped instead of picking it up then and there.
