New to the K5

Dear all,
I have received my K5 today. Sorry for the stupid question but this is my first camera since the pre-digital times !
I see that the "manual focus" ring on the lens (DA 18-135) can be rotated forever without stopping, even if after some point it does of course not change anything in the focus. Is this normal ? Also, I have tried with the the camera in AF position (but switched off), is this a problem ?
Thanks !

Yes it is normal for that lens since it has a ringtype of motor inside. Have fun with your first digital camera.
