Definitely need to look at primes though. The limiteds (both DA and FA) as well as the DA * 55 are super-nice lenses that are smaller than anything Nikon offers with similar build quality.
Well, I have to say it, the 16-50 is an obvious choice. I just ordered one, and I could care less about any problems with the drive motor, that's what the warranty is for. If I was relying on it that much that I couldn't live without it for a few weeks i'd just buy another one. 2 Pentax 16-50's is almost the same as one of the other guys lenses anyway.
But having said all that, get the primes. 15mm, 21mm, 31mm, 43mm, 77mm, you will be thrilled.
