kx to K-5 and the DA 35mm F/2.4

Anyone else go from Kx to k5 and notice how much better the 35mm f/2.4 behaives???!!! wow! this camera rocks! I had all but given up on my DA 35mm 2.4. Its been put away for a few months because I was sick of the focus issues that it had with the kx. I pulled it out tonight to experiment and it works.. works GREAT actually!! WOW!

*stands and claps* K-5 you rock!

That's a curious thing if only that lens was underperforming; one would think it was a front- or back-focus problem. I sure like how my k-x plays out on my lenses. Glad you have a happy ending though!

p.s. impressed with your Sears collection; I've just begun with my 50/1.4 aka Rikenon XR..

I actually sent back my first 35 thinking there was an issue, but the second acted out just the same

Thanks! I am on buying hold. I want a good auto focus zoom next. kinda hard for me to hold the camera, the huge heavy lens, focus, catch the subject, keep still while pressing shutter button and get a sharp pic... plus with just buying the k5, hand strap, screen cover.... yeah, you get it

but sidenote, the sears 55 1.8 is my favorite manual lens, bokeh-licious

I had the same issue with the 35 f2.4 on my K2000 that rides in the car or motorcycle. Extreme back focussing on that lens, but it was ok on Karens K7. Sent it back and the replacement was the same, so we kept it for the K7 only. Then I found the hack to get into the service portion of the K2000, and it turned out it was the AF being wayyy off! I did not see it on the 18-55 kit lens as it is so slow, but now all the lenses work well on it. BTW, the camera was over 18mo out of warranty so I did the work myself.
