still 954.99 in Toronto (at at least one dealer but the remainder will all price match him if he has stock). Not my favourite dealer, bur he usually has a low price i can leverage at my favourite dealer

Prices in Canada will likely stay low, as this is a US-only thing.

B&H has just dropped the price to $1099, which is the current minimum advertised price. Amazon will have to increase theirs as well, so if you want a cheap K-5 from there, get it while it's hot!

Well in general the big dealer up here (Henrys) is usually sitting at 1199 unless they are on sale. today they too are 1099. so it may well be this is being implemented up here as well. Our laws though may limit how they do it.

Its $987 but now has the List Price at $1099. Seems Amazon is aware of the change in pricing policy and is continuing to discount the K5!

Nah, they're not (any more, at least)- it's just that the lowest price is always list in the main entry. So while amazon's own price is $1099, independent (likely non-authorized) dealers who sell on behalf on Amazon are still (fortunately) offering lower prices.

Take a look at our homepage in about 2 hours- some fairly bad news is coming up about these price changes
