K5 dust removal system

Has anyone noticed that the K5's dust removal system sounds different that the K7's? I sold my K7, but the K5 sounds different if memory serves me right.

Not sure...but I think I read it is different? Whatever, it seems to be working great on my K5...as it did on my K20D. I never have a lasting problem with dust spots, they are just easily removed at start up.

As I recall didn't the sound on the K7 have a much higher pitch in comparison to the K5. Mine does anyway.

Since the K7 and K5 don't shake the camera out of my hand with the shaker active, I've never paid any attention to how it sounds. I couldn't tell you what either one of them sound like. Other than form fit, I don't do a lot of comparing between the two however.

Not sure what you're hearing. I don't hear anything on my K-5 (but it still works great).

Mine don't make any sound I can hear. Only sound I can tell is what sounds like a click from the aperture or shutter. On the k-x it vibrated like a phone, but on k-5 I never notice it.
