Not all devices play back the Pentax movie files w/o error.
Missing audio at the start or after a short period of time is a symptome. If you have it, longer playback will typically freeze.
On a computer, use a different player or codec. For external devices, convert prior to playback.
Just to make sure: Play back on the K-5 itself gives you audio, right? If not, maybe audio recording is muted. Otherwise, your micro may be bust.

There even is volume control on play back. The K-5 has loudspeakers (two little holes below the flash, on the right side).
