Just got my K-5 and have been playing around with it...very nice camera and upgrade over the K-20D. One problem is that I am not getting any sound in video playback., All the settings are OK, but still no sound. Any ideas? Thanks.

On the camera or on the computer? . You will get no sound on the camera.
On the computer , could be a lot of thing

Not all devices play back the Pentax movie files w/o error.

Missing audio at the start or after a short period of time is a symptome. If you have it, longer playback will typically freeze.

On a computer, use a different player or codec. For external devices, convert prior to playback.

Just to make sure: Play back on the K-5 itself gives you audio, right? If not, maybe audio recording is muted. Otherwise, your micro may be bust.

That's not true.
There even is volume control on play back. The K-5 has loudspeakers (two little holes below the flash, on the right side).

or hook up the camera to your tv, the camera can play its own videos/audio without replying on a computers codecs

Update your codecs, that should solve the problem.
