New K-5!

Just put in an order to get a new black K-5! It wil arrive tomorrow, when I'm home ontime to meet the postalguy. This is to replace my black K-5 and will be my fourth K-5 (K-5 (with stains), K-5 as second body, K-5 Silver (to replace my stains) and now K-5 to replace my second black body.

I sold my black body, shuttercount 53675, found a good price for it and the new one is a steel at the time. So this is for me like making math! I don't expect K-3 this year, so we are probably talking about spring. This new body is by then stil in good shape and I can sell it easy. I just invested a small amount to take the K-5 Black lifespan (for me three different body's) to 18 months of use (november 2010 - may 2012) and not having any problems with the amount of actuations on my camera.

Still, it is brand new tomorrow

Yup, and nothing to complain about any of them.

So How many K-5's will you have when this one comes in? If I read right that leaves you with 2

Once I get comfortable with my K7 I will get a K5 which means I will stay a model or two behind but that is ok with me

Ron, gefeliciteerd!
I bought a K-5 body today, already happy and that after only 4 photos and reading the first 50 pages of the manual :-)

It is funny, for me it is a tool, like my car. I don't drive my car until it leaves me standing besides the road, no I replace it a good economical given time. That time was this week for my K-5.

Thanks for the info. I am tempted to get another K5 with the drop ion price for telephoto zoom to live on.

I just love my K5. It is a brilliant tool.

Enjoy!

Yes, this is the way to go. Right now with the US economy in the dumps and me being in a position to idle back a bit, I sort of am taking a break. So 1 k-5 (and a Lumix G3 and Canon G12 and Pentax MX and Nikon N80! ) are enough for now. If I was still shooting hot and heavy like before 2008 I'd have 3 K-5's no question. I'd have a #2 K-5 right now just on principle, but I'm waiting and seeing for the K-3.

I would sell the G12 and get a Q, but the rumors of a bigger Q type camera are holding me back on that. I should sell the G12 anyway though as I don't really use it.

Just put in my order for a K-5. I wanted to go through Adorama or B&H to get the forum a hit, but they are both closed for Sukot. I have become addicted to the low-light capabilities and small size of the K-x, and I can't wait to get that in a more advanced package.

I know that feel. I think I may be doing the same soon. The pricing is certainly attractive now.

The price is perfect, and I don't see any movement down anymore at the time, so the bottom price is there (I think).
