Possibility to share settings between cameras?

Hi there!

Does anyone know if it's in any way possible to load settings from one camera (mainly thinking about the K-5) into another in some way? If not I would like to see it in a new firmware

The menu options is rather limitless and if a camera gets broken, stolen or if a user/family would like to have more than one it would be a very nice feature. It would also be nice when for example buying a new one and getting help from more experienced users when it comes to user modes and such.

Agree. Also a nice way to make sure two bodies have identical settings, for those of us who use two bodies.

A (conceptually) simple method would involve a firmware patch to add a playback.menu option for the camera to read the EXIF from a given picture and apply its settings. Your cam gets reset? You want to clone the settings to another body? Just copy the desired picture onto the memory card and have the camera (re)load from that. Easy-peasy.
