Unfortunately your 'letter' sounds more like a little bit of a rant in my humble opinion; I understand it's difficult to phrase properly (for me it definitely is). Your suggestion to have Pentax here as an user is a good one. I know that one of the top people at Canon South Africa hangs around on a local forum and sometimes even suggests to take the gear to them to sort out possible issues. Keeps his customers happy.

Did you write it on your phone? Using capital letters and paragraphs might have made it easier to read, and got you a more thoughtful reply that wasn't cut-n-pasted from the Pentax corporate gobbledegook handbook.

Oh well, at least they replied, even if they said absolutely nothing.

PS It does read a bit like a rant to me too, sorry. I think it's the lack of spacing and paragraphs, it makes it seem like one long sentence where you do nothing but list all the problems you've had, without any pauses.

As far as I can see neither Sterretje or myself made any derogatory comments, we both politely questioned the tone of your letter, and I pointed out how the lack of formatting (which you have now explained) might affect the reply you receive. Perhaps you should re-read our posts before getting all defensive.

Hi David,
You are definitely a loyal Pentax fan considering what you have gone through and continued to stay with Pentax. I fully support what you have done. The valuable information (all the issues) needs to be passed on to the relevant people.
Ricoh or Pentax will assume there is no problem if we never voice the problems.

Thanks for sharing with us!
