New low price for K5 in Shanghai

Guys 'n Gals if you are visiting Shanghai and want to buy a K5 let me know and I'll send you to the shop where I buy most of my Pentax gear : I've just picked up my second K5 for RMB5,800 (about US$920) and this time added the WR 18-55 for another RMB600 (about US$90). Great prices !

Wow, what a bargain..... If it drops to less than US900.00, i am tempted to get a second K5 for a telephoto zoom!

Congrats and enjoy!

Wow, the K-5 going for less than USD 1,000 is really cheap to say. Is it with standard warranty?

Sounds like a very good deal! I was in Shanghai last week - and will be back in another two weeks. Usually I go to a place in Luban Road just to have a look around. They have a lot of used equipment, including some very tempting long lenses like the 2.8/300 etc.
But for now I don't need more (or won't get permission to buy more). I just got my K5 (sold as a demo - but in perfect condition) for 699,- Euros here in Germany.

Very good deal Volley. Here at my place the RRP is still within 880 Euro or USD 1,200.
But I did saw a FA 31 going for USD 920.

In a dilemma here whether to get a K-5 or the ace prime.

That's the place. There are two dedicated Pentax stores, the one I have always used is on the ground floor. Yes there is a lot of used gear around the different shops on the 2nd thru 5th floors. I was just reading a comparison between the A85/1.4 and Nikon's legendary 85/1.2 on a Nikon site ..... the Pentax wiped the floor with it .... and I found one there today for around US$1,300, but since I've recently bought a Contax Zeiss 85 for half that price my hands won't be coming out of my pockets , maybe

I'm not sure mate .... since I live here permanently it's not really an issue for me. I suppose you could register the camera on-line with Pentax ? I'll try and remember to ask them when I'm there next !

Thanks. You've been a great help.
Looking forward to owning a K-5 soon.
