Nothing like that, I think it was my lack of grammar or what ever that made me delete it.

Have you made any lens adjustments? May be necessary? However, we do have to keep in mind that all those high powered lenses that sell for a small fortune are not sold just for their "good looks". They perform like nothing else when it comes to sharpness, color and resolution. The more potent the MP the more it matters.....that's not a happy thought when it comes to expense, but unfortunately, it is the truth. The good news is that once you have a few and get past the expense, there are no regrets.

Anyhow, that is my thoughts.....for what they are worth?
Best Regards!

Yup, missing/deleted. It`s all good.
Except that I still have no idea what the "7/10 of a step" refers to...

0.7 EV or 7/10 either plus or minus. In this case it was negative zero point seven exposure values. or something like that.

Now, back to OP`s problem.
"Still having issues with k-5 it just will not do as sharp pictures as the k-r i owned, any suggestions".
I never owned a KR so am not really qualified to comment about the images from it. Given "reasonable" lighting and a descent lens, K5 should be very good in it`s output. Even straight jpeg OOC. Images on your Flkr look good.

If you haven't done the AF fine tuning for your lense, you should do it first. Just search the topic on this forum.

I have a new K5 an I shoot RAW and convert in ACR CS5, up until now I thought the files I opened in ACR looked very lack luster and it's taking me a week of practicing but now I can pretty easily edit in ACR and produce a nicely sharp bright photo.
I also have a Nikon D300s and that always produced a great sharp photo after eding Raw files in NX2 without too much adjustment by me. I think I can match PQ of the Nikon now with the K5 and after I get my new Tamaron 17-50 f2.8 lens look out. here's two examples the 1st photo Pentax K5 the 2nd Nikon D300s, forgive the subjest matter and compostion as I just wanted to compare the image quality.
