IQ is not as good in which way/s? The K-5 should blitz the IQ of the K-r. Superior DR, superior colour rendition.

Can you give us any more information? Better still, got any pics to show the difference?

ex-Fin means -0.7 stops (two thirds of a stop, close enough)

Yes, negative 0.7. For some strange reason Pentax decided to imitate the other two in exposure. Just my observation.

the images i take with the da 35mm 2.4 apear decent enough, but the ones i take with the da wr 50-200mm i may get one good picture out of 200 photos. Is the 50-200 just not a good lens?

Right click image - copy image location.

Put image here by tagging it [img*]www.image.com[*/img] without the *.

Or click the little landscape button that lets you insert image.

I can't see why you're having picture quality problems but to sort out your troubles we'd need a lot more information on your settings, lens used and whether you shoot manual or auto focus.

To upload a picture on the site first go to the "Insert Image" button in the reply window where another window will open. In that window insert the link address of the photo on flickr then click OK. You should be right from there.

Here is a shot taken with the Pentax K-5 with a sigma 105mm F2.8 Macro attached.
