Monitor quit when using mode dial

My K5 is 2 weeks old and the monitor quit working when changing the mode dial. It displays when in user mode but no others. I did a firmware upgrade a few days ago and it worked for a little while than quit. Just getting familiar with it, may be something I did. Any suggestions?

Have you disabled the status screen in your settings? It works when you press disp/play right?

It was me not looking in manual before the post, fixed. Man I hate to read manuals! Thanks anyway!
