M-mode lightmeter problems on K-5

I just got myself a K-5 and replaced my K20d.
One thing only, when I am using M-mode the light meter does not show anything at all. Not on the LCD or in the viewer. What am I missing? I am using a manual 50mm
pentax lens, and what I can see is the shutter speed and the green button works just fine but I am missing the good old light meter. It works for EV compensation though.

And by the way, its really a super nice camera!!

eeeh, problem fixed

Well, the K20d works the same way. I was certain it didnīt.
And I just have to say that I am still impressed of the IQ of the K20d. I am gonna miss it. Up to iso 400 its still really nice!! I just have to get used to the different noise pattern of the K5, when its there anyway .

Now off to drink some wine!

With the K-5 you shouldn't be seeing much noise at noise at 400, if any. You'll definitely fall in love with the IQ soon enough!

Glad you got it figured out. With non-A contact lenses you just get the shutter speed in the display. The nice thing about your K-5 is that green button metering is much more consistent and accurate than with the K20D.

Enjoy!!

For M-type lenses the meter display in the OVF is active while using DOF preview though (for some reason the LCD goes blank with that).
