Just went to Amazon, Adorama, Abe's and B&H and all of them have the K-5 body back at the pre-Cyber Monday price.

I'm glad I ordered when I did and will be waiting tomorrow for that UPS truck sound........

Anyone going to buy a battery grip for their new K-5?

I actually bought one of the generics on amazon for $40.00. I just couldn't justify the $200 for the Pentax version. At first I was A little disappointed in the build quality, but after using it several times now I am very happy with it. The one I got did not have the metal post that the picture showed. It also claims to be weather proof, and it is not. I will eventually put a rubber gasket on it some how. Either way you can definitely tell it is generic, but for $40 I can not complain. I would buy it again.

Part of me is kind of happy that the price is back up again as I don't want the K-5 to be replaced so soon if they are clearing it out since it will make me want to upgrade to another new body! Oh all my disappearing money!

Thanks to the PF news alert, I found out about the K-5 Cyber Monday price drop. Adorama very graciously store credited me the $200 difference as I was still within my 30 days of purchase. I then purchased a Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 Macro for my wife. They even gave me a great deal on the lens, $40 better than any advertised price anywhere on the net without me even asking. I am a long time customer, but have to put it out there that the customer service is the best.

Welcome aboard! Always glad to hear about a shop that has great CS. It's seemingly rarer and rarer these days and makes places like Adorama stand out!

On another note, the $995 sale gets better all the time. I was at KEH poking around and they have used K5's for $999!
