I plan to buy DA* 60-250 for landscape AND portrait. but problem is the lens is F4. Means is it can't be use in indoor such as wedding. 50-135 f2.8 should be good choice but I'm think about FF body too. so I'll buy 60-250 with flash light.

what do you think that 60-250 + flash light for portrait (wedding or indoor)???

f/4 is slow indoors and that flash is going to be use-less if your shooting a wedding in church that doesnt allow flash photography.

If you main concern is portrait then get the 50-135. If you worried about being FF compatible have a look at the Sigma and Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 lenses.

The 60-250 is a horrid choice for wedding work. It's big, slow and did I mention it's big?
It is totally unsuited to weddings.
Go with the 50-135. There is no full frame, and when/if there is, you should think about what lenses go with that format. Until then, you are shooting with an APS-C format (presuming you don't swap systems) and should be buying lenses suited to what you want to do with that format.

DA*60 250 in door? I don't think so....

Maybe you need a DA*55 or FA50 or even FA35 for indoor.
For indoor low light F4 is way too slow

How about Tamron 70-200? And if you need silence, there's the Sigma with HSM. I have both the 50-135 and 60-250. They are great optically and weather seal but focus slower than screw drive and Sigma HSM. I wish Pentax give us a choice to use either SDM or screw drive via firmware update.

On the note of the Tamron 70-200 as far as noise goes - if you preset your focus to the right area, the Tamron is silent at the minor adjustments. It's only when it needs to run through the range that it's a bit noisy. It's also amazingly sharp, wide open.

I disagree that the 60-250 is big. It is a very nice s compact lens.
50-135 gorgeous landscape lens, I love it, great for weddings and indoor.
60-250 brilliant for outdoor wildlife. A very flexible lens. Only had mine a few days and I am not sure about landscapes. Relatively light and compact for a quality lens.
70-200 FF eg sigma or tamron - would do a great job, but if anyone thinks the 60-250 is heavy then the 70-200 are terrifying.

I like the suggestion that your photography will be best served using quality APC lenses.

The 60-250 is big for a wedding lens. I quite like my 60-250 for outdoors work, it's a good landscape lens, but sorry, not for a church where it will be in the way any time the photographer is close to people. And yes, I think 70-200/2.8 lenses are too big for churches as well, but they are, at least, f/2.8 lenses, and they aren't all that much bigger than the 60-250, especially since that lens will spend much of it's time extended out.

The 60-250 is a brilliant outdoor lens and is surprisingly compact. When not extending, just slightly larger than the 50-135. It was my walk around lens for my Hawaii trip.

Well for weddings I think of indoors shooting from the hand and for landscaping and outdoors more to tripod or monopod. The 50-135 makes me think of shooting out of the hand and the 60-250 of using a monopod. I guess you could buy both.
