Hey Guys,
I work a lot with manual lenses using the Pentax hack on a K7 for video work... so apologies for putting this in the K5 forum; locking the aperture settings, shutter, ISO etc from the User mode into the video mode. This may or may not be new but I think I have discovered a way of applying this fix to all automatic lenses.
Simply hold the AE-L button down, rather than pressing this once to lock it, whilst you turn the dial from User to Movie and voilą! The exposure is locked as soon as you hear the beep. I've tried it on 2 lenses multiple times and it works a treat!
This may or may not be new - I think it is and it has just opened the camera up for me a lot being able to use lenses with Autofocus and Automatic aperture control.
Hope this helps someone as much as it will help me!
Scott
